Behind the international name of Sima Couture stands a story that began with family, craftsmanship and the determination of Silva Erkoc. In 2011, she opened the brand’s first boutique in Duisburg and established the creative direction that remains central to the house. As founder and designer, Erkoc continues to shape its collections and visual identity. Alongside her, Buket Kantekin, Managing Director and co-owner of Sima München GmbH, leads the Munich operation in Eching and contributes to the company’s international development. Together, they represent the creative and entrepreneurial sides of Sima Couture.
Over the years, the original Duisburg boutique has evolved into a global network. Four company-owned locations now operate in Duisburg, Eching near Munich, Paris and Istanbul, while more than 90 retail partners represent the brand throughout 30 countries. Every collection is designed by Sima Couture and produced in-house, allowing the atelier to offer made-tomeasure gowns and personalized details. In Duisburg, brides can choose from more than 400 gowns within a 1,000-square-meter flagship, while Paris offers another 400-plus models across 600 square meters. From the first consultation, which usually lasts about 1.5 hours, to the approximately three-month production process, the experience is built around individual attention.
Sima Couture’s growing reputation has gradually taken the brand into a wider fashion landscape. Georgina Rodriguez wore one of its creations for L’Officiel Italia, while Daniella Chavez has also appeared in the label. In 2023, Urvashi Rautela brought Sima Couture to Cannes in a dramatic pink tulle gown, combining a heavily embellished bodice with a layered skirt. The house also made its mark in Monte Carlo when Stephanie Durant wore a princess gown for the 2019 Golden Nymph Awards at the Monte Carlo TV Festival.

The connection with Cannes became especially significant in 2025, when Angelique Angarni Filopon, Miss France 2025, walked the Cannes steps wearing a white Sima Couture gown inspired by her own design idea. The finished creation combined pearl details, sculptural draping and an asymmetric skirt. That collaboration reflected the house’s approach to individuality and craftsmanship. During the same year, Sima Couture appeared on the official runway of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, among more than 44 brands from 18 countries. Its partnership with Miss France also reached a new level, with the Paris team led by Nazli Mendes creating gowns for the 2025 competition and the winning dress for Angelique, followed by the continuation of the partnership for Miss France 2026.
The Sima Couture story continues through new personalities, events and publications. Iryna Thater and Natalia Yegorova appeared in the brand at the Leipziger Opernball, while Bruna Biancardi featured in Sima Couture for L’Officiel England in 2026. What began with Silva Erkoc’s boutique in Duisburg has become a presence spanning four boutiques, 90-plus retail partners and 30 countries. Yet the essence remains remarkably consistent: every Sima Couture creation is intended to be individual, while the woman herself remains at the center of the story.
